Air-Fryer Salmon Bowl

  • This Pineapple Glazed Salmon is so good, fast, and super easy! If you’re looking for a new way to change up your typical salmon recipe, or if you’d like to add some citrus flavors to your favorite salad, this recipe is perfect for you!
  • Our base for the glaze is our Fischer & Wieser Pineapple Ham Glaze. We added seasonings, oil, and lime juice to bring forth the flavors and make this the best glaze for your salmon. You can add this glaze to your other meats like chicken, lamb, beef, and pork. Also, a skewer of shrimp is waiting to be drenched in this glaze!
  • Using pineapples gives this recipe a touch of sweetness. You can layer on pineapple chunks or rings towards the end of cooking to really soak in some amazing flavors! If you’re using an oven, turn on your broiler toward the end of baking to caramelize the glaze.
  • Behind mangoes and limes, pineapples are very popular in meat or seafood dishes. Like the others, this can be made into a perfect salsa which goes great with your dish.
  • For a touch of sweetness, add 2 tbsp of honey into your glaze.
  • The fastest part of this recipe is frying your salmon in the air fryer. The air fryer produces some of our favorite, crispy dishes without excess oil or hassel of deep frying. This can be a complete air-fried meal. Toss in potatoes and broccoli into the air fryer and serve it alongside the salmon.
  • In case you don’t want the added broccoli or potatoes, we have an amazing side dish for this recipe: Cilantro Lime Rice! We made a traditional cilantro lime rice by using cooked rice! We’re using this rice and turning it into a cilantro lime rice that perfectly compliments your crispy salmon.
  • Basmati rice is traditionally used in Indian dishes. In fact, India still accounts for over half the international trade in basmati rice! For the rice, we added salt, cilantro, and lime juice to make the perfect, fluffy cilantro lime dish.
  • There are plenty of ways to spruce up this dish! Adding cilantro to your salmon, finishing it with sliced pineapple rings, or topping off your salmon with flaky sea salt!

Ingredients:

For the rice

  • 1 cup long grain basmati rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 small lime, juiced
  • ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tsp avocado oil

For the Salmon & Glaze

  • 1 tsp salt & pepper
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil

Directions

For the rice

  1. Rinse starch off of rice. In a medium pot, bring the water, oil, salt, and rice to a boil. Turn the heat down to a simmer, cover the pot, and cook for about 20 minutes. If the rice is still firm, add a few tablespoons of water and cook for 3-5 more minutes.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork. Add cilantro, salt, and lime juice to the rice and toss until mixed.

For the Salmon & Glaze

  1. In a small bowl, mix together Pineapple Ham Glaze, lime juice, paprika, sugar, salt, pepper, & avocado oil. Lightly brush the salmon fillets with the pineapple glaze mix. Air fry at 400 degrees for 12-14 minutes.*
  2. Brush salmon with more glaze and fry for an additional 2-3 minutes. Top off with pineapple slices, cilantro, or lime!
  3. Serve with cilantro lime rice or shred & toss into your favorite salad!

*If you’re baking these fish fillets, bake at 425 degrees
