Peach Aren’t Just for Cobbler Anymore

By Case D Fischer

Summer is underway and the 4th of July is approaching, and I can’t let another week go by as we, and other area peach growers, are harvesting our peaches and enjoying the fruit of our labors, without sharing another great peach-centric recipe.

We love our peaches here and our proud to share them with the many people who come from all over to experience them. At Das Peach Haus, some of the traditional things that we have made from our peaches include peach cobbler, peach ice cream, peach smoothies, and, of course, peach preserves. While those are all amazing, it’s fun to branch out and try new recipes from time to time.

We are fortunate to work with a lot of great cooks and recipe creators in our line of work – many of whom are our customers. Armchair or home kitchen chefs who are creating fun recipes in their own homes daily. Today I am sharing a Peach Margarita recipe from one of our friends who has fun creating recipes and sharing them with us. It’s fun, easy, tasty and a great way to enjoy a beautiful summer afternoon while many of our traveling plans have been curtailed. I hope you try this, enjoy it and share it with friends. After all, we are from the Hill Country of Texas; what better way to share what our culture is about then combining some fresh Hill Country fruit with a great Tex-Mex classic.
